Membership

There’s a reason people wander in for one barefoot bowls session and come back as members. Lawn bowls is easier to pick up than you’d think, fiercely social, and — fair warning — genuinely addictive.

Why Join?

Free coaching. Complete beginner? Want to sharpen your game? Our member coaches will have you rolling properly in no time.

Free roll-ups. Members can practise any time the greens aren’t in use. No booking, no green fees, no fuss.

Social bowls. Relaxed, welcoming, competitive enough to keep it interesting. It’s where most of our friendships start.

Club bowls and pennants. For those who want the real thing — championships, tournaments, and Bowls ACT competition. Play anywhere in Australia. Your CBC membership gets you onto social bowling days and into tournaments at clubs right across the country.

The clubhouse. Licensed bar, live music on Sundays, EDG food trucks coming soon, and a sun-soaked green in the middle of Forrest.

The easy way in. Social membership gives you member access to the club, the bar and our events. Your membership runs for twelve months from the day you join. Perfect if you’re here for the atmosphere, the music and the occasional barefoot roll rather than competition bowls.

    How to Join

    1. Come and have a go first. Book a barefoot bowls session ($20 per person, Tuesday–Sunday) or just drop in and say hello. No obligation, no pressure.

    2. Apply. Sign up via the link on this page or pick up an application form at the club.

    Never bowled before? Good.

Genuinely — we love new bowlers. You don’t need your own bowls (we’ll lend you a set), you don’t need any special clothing, and you don’t need to know a jack from a mat. You need flat-soled shoes, or no shoes at all.

    The rest we’ll teach you.
